  • 12 mm safety eyes

  • Toy stuffing (Polyfill)

  • Long upholstery needle

  • Darning needle

  • Dressmaker's pins

  • Stitch markers

  • Scissors

You can use almost any 4-ply, sport weight, DK or similar yarn. Mercerised cotton is particularly suitable because it provides excellent stitch definition and helps reduce the visibility of stuffing between the stitches.

You can also have lots of fun choosing your colours. Follow the shades used for Gertie, create your own combination, or choose colours and markings inspired by a favourite guinea pig.
