🧶 Materials
For Kooky shown, I used Scheepjes Catona 4-ply mercerised cotton yarn:
35 g Bridal White (105)
15 g Hazelnut (503)
4 g Cyan (397)
5 g Metal Grey (242)
You'll also need:
2 mm crochet hook
10 mm safety eyes
Toy stuffing
Long darning needle
Stitch markers
Dressmakers pins
Invisible thread or dressmakers cotton (useful for securing the beak and eye patches neatly)
Mercerised cotton yarn provides excellent stitch definition and beautifully highlights the African Flower motifs, but you can use any equivalent yarn in your preferred colours.
A complete materials list is included in the pattern.
