📏 Finished Size

When made using 4-ply yarn, your finished McWaddle measures approximately:

• 4½ inches (10 cm) high without the hat

• 6 inches (15 cm) high with the hat

The finished size will vary depending on your yarn weight, hook size and crochet tension. For a larger penguin, simply use Double Knit (DK), Aran or Chunky yarn, although the finished appearance will vary.

• Small scrap of Chrystalline (385) for the eye highlights

You'll also need:

• 2 mm crochet hook

• 9 mm safety eyes

• Toy stuffing

• Darning needle

• Long upholstery needle

• Stitch markers

Mercerised cotton gives excellent stitch definition and beautifully highlights the African Flower motifs, but you can use any equivalent yarn in your favourite colours.
